Each qualifying dictation carried out in a given age group was designed to check the students’ knowledge of the rules of spelling words from: ó, u, rz, ż, h, ch.
In each age group, the dictation qualifying for the final was different and its text was delivered to the teachers on the day of the dictation.
Teachers conducting classes in individual classes were responsible for preparing students for the qualifying dictation. After each dictation, the teacher of the class evaluated the dictation and selected the students who would advance to the final.
On the day of the final, all students entitled to take part in it wrote the final dictation, which selected the winners of the competition.
