The artistic program of the banquet on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino featured Dawid and Brajan Hendzl – students of the Polish school of Monte Cassino. Gen. Casimir Pulaski.
Dawid recited Ryszard Kiersnowski’s poem entitled “Daleka droga”, while Brajan presented a fragment from the diary of a soldier Stanisław Zaydel “Where are you going soldier”.
The students were prepared for the performance by Zofia Biernadska.
With a poetic reflection, the Hendzl brothers honored the memory of the veterans of Monte Cassino.
Their great-grandfather was one of the heroic soldiers who fought and died in the victorious battle.
