On October 19, we celebrated in our Polish School of Names. Gen. Pulaski’s K. – Bilingualism Day – a holiday that has appeared in the calendar of Polish diaspora events since 2015.
The originator of the Polish Bilingual Day is the Good Polish School Foundation. This day is to remind all Poles living outside the Polish about the values resulting from bilingual education.
All classes from the youngest to nthe elderly were involved in the celebration of this Polish community event. The teachers of individual classes have prepared a lot of different language attractions and more, which can be seen in the attached photos.
The youngest got to know the colors of national symbols: coloring the Polish and American flags. The elders prepared beautiful posters, discussed the silhouettes of outstanding Poles. There were competitions, games and fun in the classrooms.
The day of bilingualism passed in our school in a very pleasant atmosphere reminding everyone how important it is to cultivate the language and traditions of the country from which we come and use them in the country in which we live.
