Students of our school in the elite group of fifteen Polish schools taking part in the competition “1050th anniversary of the baptism of the Polish”.
Saturday, November 20 is a date that will be remembered for a long time by students of the second grade of high school: Brajan Hendzel and Benjamin Kulis, and Jakub Starczyński from the third grade, because on that day it was they who in a beautiful style represented our school in a historical competition organized by the Association of Polish Teachers in America. Competition issues in the field of history, literature and geography covered the period from the beginnings of Polish statehood to modern times. Therefore, it turned out to be necessary to prepare our students thoroughly, and this challenge was taken up by the Polish philologists – Bożena Dąbrowska, who became the team’s guardian and Urszula Knapik. Brajan, Benjamin and Jakub worked with great dedication of their free time to achieve the best results, remembering that the competition should also be treated as a kind of preparation for the upcoming matura exam. All three students showed excellent and comprehensive knowledge, which on this occasion they further deepened under the supervision of their parents and teachers. A big surprise in the competition was the part covering games and games, although this can be treated as a confirmation of the fact that it was not the final result that was the most important here, but participation in itself, the enormity of team and individual work, as well as the opportunity to gain new experience in the school of life; the most important of all schools.
Brajan, Benjamin and Jacob – we are proud of you and thank you for representing our school with dignity!
