On Sunday, January 24, 2010 at. 3:00 in the afternoon, our school held an event for students of the younger grades known as a “carnival party” or “fancy dress ball.”
About 120 children took part.
The game was led by Bozena Szewczyk, Aneta Niewinska and Anna Lesniakowska with the active help of their fellow teachers.
The economic part was handled by the School Board parents.
In the beautifully decorated hall, students, teachers and parents eager to tangle played together. The children charmed us with wonderful, very imaginative costumes. There were many competitions, musical and movement games interspersed with beautiful children’s and youth music. Winners of the contests were rewarded with candy and small gifts. The highlight of the party was the election of the king and queen of the ball. The judges took into account the idea of dressing up and the desire to have fun.
Senior class students were also involved to help.
Thanks to them, mysterious paintings appeared on the faces and hands of our little ones.
The organizers also did not forget about parents. In between the dancing, parents could enjoy tasty coffee, eat homemade cakes
or taste delicious bigos with sausage, and our little ones ate pizza and cookies with great appetite.
The game was very popular not only among students and parents.
Every year more and more children from other schools participate.
All are welcome. We invite you to join us next year.
