“I vow to learn Polish, speak and read Polish,
learn about the geography, history and culture of Polish.
I vow to respect my parents,
teachers, colleagues and school staff”
Such words of vow were spoken by the first graders of the Polish School of Names. Gen. K. Pulaski, on Saturday morning, November 10, 2012. However, before the students made a solemn promise, they presented what they had learned over several Saturdays. The children recited poems and sang songs beautifully. They also passed their first exam, proving to their parents, management and invited guests that Polish blood flows in them, of which they are very proud.
After the official ceremony of including first graders in the school’s students, all children received commemorative diplomas and school shields with the image of General Casimir Pulaski – the patron of the school. The ceremony ended with a joint treat prepared by the parents.
We wish all freshmen every success and perseverance in learning, so that in 11 years, the culmination of many years of hard work in a Polish school will be a successful pass of the maturity exam and the state exam in Polish.
I would like to thank all parents and teachers for their help in preparing such a wonderful ceremony, and Zofia Bierndska and Anna Leśniakowska for their help in preparing the artistic part.
I invite you to watch a photo reportage from this unforgettable event prepared by Mr. Dariusz Piłka.
