Further successes of our students

The annual competition organized by the Council of Polish Teachers brought victories and distinctions to the students of our school.

On March 28 this year. in the Lone Tree Inn restaurant in Niles, an awards ceremony was held for all the winners of the literary competition dedicated to Blessed Mary. John Paul II, who in a few days will become a saint of the Catholic Church. The aim of this year’s competition was to write an essay in Polish or English on the topic: “John Paul II – a friend of children and youth”. The honorable second place, for an essay in English and a prize of $ 200, went to Elżbieta Skorupski, a student of Mrs. Małgorzata Dzwonkowski. The third place and the prize of $ 100 went to Natalia Czachorowski, a student of Mrs. Wiesław Sawicki. On the other hand, the distinction and the book award went to Kamila Czachorowski, a student of Mrs. Agnieszka Oskiera.
The ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Consul of the Republic of Poland Konrad Zieliński, whose words should be an encouragement to further improve and deepen the mother tongue:
“Education is the best investment in a child’s development, and the ability to use the mother tongue is crucial.”
We would like to congratulate the winners and wish them further success, and we strongly encourage all students to participate in the competitions, because it is worth it.
