“King Krakus and the Dragon”
On March 31, 2012, our school hosted a performance entitled. “King Krakus and the Dragon” performed by the “Little Stars” Theater Workshop. The performance is part of the educational initiative called ”The Legend of Krakus”. This is a program aimed at promoting Polish culture, heritage and education of the youngest generation of Polonia. The performance is a modern interpretation of the Cracovian legend of King Krakus and the Wawel Dragon. After a fun lesson in Polish history, all students were invited to a lunch prepared by KRAKUS FOOD CO, during which Krakus ham – the company’s specialty – reigned supreme. In addition, the children received gifts from Krakus: a bag and a sandwich box printed with an image of King Krakus, Princess Wanda and the Wawel Dragon.
