On Saturday, March 11, our school held a ceremonial academy on the occasion of Pulaski Day. The school theatre club led by Małgorzata Rząsa and Bożena Dąbrowska presented several occasional poems. Students of grades 1-3 belonging to the theatre group are: Kayla Castro, Maja Kowal, Ola Wójcik, Tomek Burkiewicz, Olivier Gibiec, Mateusz Kożuchowski and Jaś Wołodkowicz. Our young actors showed impeccable knowledge and professional interpretation of the recited texts, and the performance was supported by their older classmates from the 2nd grade of high school – Brajan Hendzel, Benjamin Kulis and Kamil Zygadło, who led the narration.
Director Agata Michałkiewicz prepared an extremely interesting multimedia presentation on the most significant achievements and curiosities about our Great Compatriot.
We would like to thank our students, parents, headmistress and teachers for their help in preparing this precious history lesson.
The Academy has also become an opportunity to award diplomas and gifts to the winners and participants of two inter-school competitions. The headmistress together with the president Agata Woźny in the presence of all the gathered students awarded the participants of the XX Recitation Competition organized by the Polish School of Remembrance. Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński in Chicago: Angelica Popieluszko from class IV, Aleksandra Kajderowicz from class VI and the winner of the honorable first place Brajan Hendzel from class II of high school, as well as taking part in the IX edition of the Interschool Festival of Polish Song at the Polish School of Secondary School. Emilii Plater in Hannover Park: Nell Rygiel, class II, Deliah Teczar from class III, and the winner of the second place Antonia Rygiel from class IV.
Congratulations to all! We are very proud of you!
