Wiglia and nativity play at the Polish School of Pulaski

A common school Christmas Eve and the staging of nativity plays by students is a long-standing, beautiful tradition of the Polish School of Christmas Eve. General Casimir Pulaski in Harwood Heights.
This year’s school Christmas Eve began with a common prayer priest Marek Kreis, OSPPE. After breaking the wafer and making wishes, we treated ourselves to delicious, prepared by parents, Christmas Eve dishes. The youngest students of our school from the “Słoneczka” groups performed with a beautiful bunch of Christmas songs and dances. The culminating point of the program were, based on the texts of Zofia Biernadska, nativity play.
Specially prepared costumes, beautiful set design and wonderful performance of more than 30 young actors were a great feast for the spirit for all the audience gathered in the hall. Congratulations on a fantastic performance. Thank you to Brajan Hendzel for his wonderful, guest role as Herod. In the intervals between the acts, we sang Polish carols together. On the piano we were accompanied by: a student of the class. ILO- Daniel Majcher and Angelica Popiełuszko- student of class Vb.
We also wished Mr. Józef Lisak a happy birthday, who for many years has been creating its history with his work and involvement in the school’s activities.
We would like to thank parents, teachers, students and everyone involved in the preparation of the school Christmas Eve and nativity play.
